Stage 6. Dingle Peninsula

During this stage we went from Killarney to Tralee, following the path to Dingle Peninsula, one of the three largest peninsulas on the South West of Ireland. During this journey we saw huge sand beaches, cliffs, several little villages and Gallarus Oratory.

Stage 5. Killarney National Park

We started this day making a visit to St. Mary’s Cathedral in Killarney, and we spent the rest of the day at Killarney National Park, which has many points of interest: Ross Castle, Muckross Abbey (we avoided it nevertheless), and the Muckross House with its gardens and traditional farms. We also found some spectacular landscapes as we were driving across the park, especially from Lady’s View.

Stage 4. Kinsale – Killarney16 Oct 2013

Stage 4. Kinsale – Killarney

This was a short stage (only 90 kilometers) and we drove more or less main roads, so we didn’t hurry very much to go from Kinsale to Killarney, where we’d stay for 2 nights. We spent the entire morning visiting Charles Fort and the little town of Kinsale, where we saw Desmond Castle. After lunch we stopped at Macroom to see the only wall left from Macroom Castle.
